The Foothill Knights still have 4 teams in CIF competition with games and matches this week. Please come out to support the Knights as much as you can. I apologize up front that two of the games are at the same time, but we don't have a lot of options with scheduling.
Girls Water Polo will play for the CIF Championship on Saturday evening at 7:00PM at the Woollett Aquatic Center against Laguna Beach High School. Our team beat Newport Harbor yesterday by a score of 5-3. Our girls are playing great and it promises to be a tremendous game Saturday.
Boys Basketball will play at home Friday night against Godinez High School in the quarterfinals at 7:00PM. The Knights beat Troy High School 60-53 on Tuesday evening with an impressive team effort. Godinez is a very good team and Friday promises to be an entertaining game. Tickets are on presale from the student store. Make sure you get there early to get a good seat.
The Girls Basketball team will take on Valley View on Saturday night at 7:00PM at home. The Lady Knights beat Burbank High School last night by a score of 73-28 and are on a roll. This is a quarterfinal game as well.
We have two wrestlers at the Masters tournament on Friday and Saturday this week in Ontario. Best of luck to Mario Galvez and Roland Frank!
Finally, congratulations to girls soccer team. They fell to a very good Los Osos High School team on Tuesday evening by a score of 2-1. It was a hard fought game and the girls team made us all very proud to be Foothill Knights. Congratulations on a great season and we all know that there is nothing but big things ahead for our girls soccer program.
