Dear Knights,
As some of you have probably heard by now, Josh Porter has been named the principal of Carlsbad High School. Wednesday night, the Carlsbad Board of Education voted to hire Josh. I would like to thank Dr. Porter for all of his incredible work at Foothill. Josh has an amazing work ethic and incredible passion for helping students. I would like to wish Dr. Porter all of the best in his future endeavors. I have every confidence that he will make a positive impact on many students' lives for many years to come. Dr. Porter's last day will be October 17 and Gerry Aust will serve as an interim assistant principal until a new candidate is selected.
Going forward, we will find the very best person for the job. TUSD is committed to finding a new Assistant Principal that will support and lead our staff. We will work quickly to find an exceptional candidate, but we will not settle for a marginal administrator. If you have any questions or concerns about this process or the status, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Parents can view the poll on our school's homepage (under quick links). If parents would like to opt their child out of taking the poll, please contact me (nstephany@tustin.k12.ca.us).
