Dear Foothill Families,
I hope that every one has had a great summer! Many of you have picked up your registration packet in the office by now. If you haven't, please do so as soon as possible. Some of you may have noticed that there is not a sign up form for the PSAT in the packet....
I am excited to inform you of a new program in Tustin Unified this year designed to bolster our college going culture. On Wednesday, October 15th, ALL 9th, 10th and 11th grade students will take a college preparation test during the school day free of charge.
The 10th and 11th grade students will take the PSAT/NMSQT while 9th grade students will take the ReadiStep. Both tests are curriculum appropriate for the students' grade level and will help students decide if they are ready for certain Advanced Placement (AP) courses. These tests are not factored into college admission decisions but do give students an idea of how they will score on the actual SAT.
Seniors will have structured college activities and other senior information sessions on this day.
The Tustin Assistance League and PTO are both sponsoring SAT prep classes to help students prepare for the actual SAT. A portion of these proceeds go towards these organizations. Please visit http://www.tustin.k12.ca.us/domain/2382 for more information.
Please contact the Foothill counseling office for more information.
Sincerely,
Nick Stephany
