Pleading for funding to cover the rest of our new convection oven
Did you know that Neighborhood Alliance runs a senior nutrition kitchen? Do you know that this kitchen also delivers hot home delivered meals to over 400 home bound seniors throughout Lorain County? With love and pride these meals are plated up and delivered daily to our communities' frailest citizens.
With the appliances in this kitchen getting daily use and regular maintenance it has come time to replace one of our older convection ovens. This particular appliance is old and has served this community well however it is time for it to retire. With that being said Neighborhood Alliance has been able to apply for a $7500 grant to cover the expense of a new oven, however with labor and accessories this new oven will cost the agency $9,628.
Senior recipients of a daily home delivered meal program strive to stay independent in their homes. Receiving a daily delivered nutritious hot meal, friendly visit and daily safety check provides the greatest improvement to their overall health and quality of life by addressing hunger, isolation and loss of independence further reducing hospital stays and helping seniors to live longer.
So this is where our wonderful community of supporters come in.

Reach down deep inside and awaken your inner flower child as we say "Peace Out Homlessness" for the annual Home Run for the Homeless.This year we are taking the theme retro with a peace love and happiness type vibe as we aim to spread awareness for homelessness at this fun USATF Certified 5k run and 1 Mile family walk.
