Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much
Greetings!

"The best antidote I know for worry is work. The best cure for weariness is the challenge of helping someone who is even more tired. One of the great ironies of life is this: He or she who serves almost always benefits more than he or she who is served."

- Gordon B. Hinckley, Standing for Something:

Neighborhood Alliance can only be successful at providing for the basic needs of the community with help. In 2015, 643 volunteers donated 3471 hours of service to Neighborhood Alliance serving meals at the Haven, helping our active seniors the Oberlin Senior Center, sponsoring parties at the child enrichment centers, registering guests at our special events.  In recognition of ALL our volunteers and National Volunteer Week we would like to extend an invitation to join us in our administrative office at 457 Griswold for a COFFEE BREAK on April 13th from 9 AM to 11 AM. If you want to volunteer during this national week of service, check out our Facebook page or some of the opportunities below.

Thank you to all who volunteered at our Aces and Ale event on February 27th! It was a huge success and we appreciate all of your help.  Our next special event is our Home Run for the Homeless on April 30th. Last year we exceeded our goal of $45,000 by almost $10,000 thanks to the support of everyone who joined us either behind the scenes or as part of a team. Over 60 volunteers are needed to make this event enjoyable. If you have a few hours of time to give on the morning of the 30th of April, please let me know. We are expecting a warm, sunny day considering our mild winter!

Regards,
