Lessons from LeAnn
Studies prove that people who spend time outdoors are more positive and healthier. Exercising in natural environments produces greater feelings of enjoyment and revitalization, increases energy and positivity, and it decreases tension, confusion, anger and depression. Because it is so enjoyable, people who walk outdoors exercise longer than those on indoor treadmills.
Sunshine (on sunny or cloudy days) is good for your body. It's the best source of vitamin D, which is proven to fight inflammation, osteoporosis, cancer, depression and heart attacks. Sunlight improves digestion, metabolism and your immune system. It increases white blood cells in your blood and red ones too, which increase oxygen.
Being outdoors is good for your mind too. Light is a natural mood enhancer. Sunshine increases the production of endorphins and serotonin which perk you up and increase your joy.
Sunbeams are also good for your spirit. Let the warm rays fall on your face like a benediction, soothing your body, mind and soul.
So take a walk, sit in the sunshine and smell the roses. Go outdoors and see the sunny side of life (literally!)
