WBAI commemorates the 48th anniversary of the death of MLK with 24 hours of special programming devoted to his life.
TUESDAY, APRIL 5, 7PM Launch party for "Clockwork Phoenix 5" Hosted by WBAI producer of Hour of the Wolf, Jim Freund, and editor Mike Allen there will be featured readings by: Rob Cameron C.S.E. Cooney Carlos Hernandez Barbara Krasnoff Sonya Taaffe Shveta Thakrar A.C. Wise The Clockwork Phoenix series showcases beautifully-written, difficult-to-categorize stories of the fantastic, and we are pleased to host a reading and party celebrating the fifth book in this series. It's the largest and most ambitious to date, containing 20 stories by 21 authors. A starred review in Publishers Weekly proclaimed that "all the stories afford thought-provoking glimpses into alternative realities that linger, sparking unconventional thoughts, long after they are first encountered."

The Jalopy Theatre and Down Home Radio Show are proud to announce the 8th annual Brooklyn Folk Festival taking place Friday, April 8th through Sunday, April 10th.
The 3-day festival includes 30 bands, vocal and instrumental workshops, a family-friendly square dance and swing dance, jam sessions, film screenings, the famous Banjo Toss contest and more!
This year the festival will be held at the beautiful historic St. Ann's Church located at 157 Montague St. between Clinton and Henry in Brooklyn Heights. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
