Dear WBAI Family,
The following is an excerpt form my General Manager's report to the Pacifica National Board.

Prognosis:
"The outlook for WBAI for surviving and repaying its financial debts is, guardedly, a positive one. I cannot thank enough the other stations in the Pacifica network for extending funds to meet WBAI's shortfalls - some of which were unexpected, due to last year's unprecedented hurricane, and some of which were due to WBAI's inability to, on its own, meet the exorbitant costs of running a radio station in New York City. I am hopeful that with the greatly reduced expenses and fundraising projects underway, we can make WBAI sustainable within the next few months and begin repaying the debts we owe to the other stations. THANK YOU! But WBAI needs to be given the ½-year to 1-year needed for those projects to take root...."
Thank you,
Berthold Reimers
General Manager
