"Bellina," says the Tuscan native, peppering the conversation with Italian, "I am a humble man."

But the pictures on the wall tell a different story. There is a photo of Alessandro in Kenya, his arm wrapped around a cheetah; a framed ticket from a flight on the Concord; a picture of him on the nightly TV news. But most of all there are pictures of Ferrari's, and Alessandro, dressed in racing gear, is standing proudly in most of them. Read more.

Double Your Donation through July 31
Our fundraising campaign The Winifred Johnson Clive Foundation has offered to double any funds MOWSF can raise - up to $10,000 - for Spring Cleaning All Year Round, a program that pairs volunteer groups with elderly seniors to give their homes a one-time, pick-me-up cleaning. Help us meet our goal. Visit our campaign page: www.crowdrise.com/springcleaning.

By Baruch Gould, Manager of Volunteer Programs
I have been thinking about the importance of memory and imagination as we grow old. We spend many decades of our lives being busy in the world: we have to "grow up," we go to school, we work. Maybe we create a family. We develop friendships and create a life for ourselves in society. And then we reach a point in our old age when many of those aspects of our lives start to lose their importance or relevance. We change. Our priorities change... Read more.

When you join the MOWSF Supper Club, you'll continue providing nutritious meals and supportive services for homebound seniors, but in a way that makes your contribution go further by creating a reliable source of support. Knowing we can count on your contribution each month helps us budget for the programs that are vital to our overall goal of making sure no senior goes hungry. Barbara, a new member, joined the club in April.  "I joined the Supper Club because I care in a personal and spiritual manner for others who are in need," she says.
