MAYOR'S CORNER
Greetings!

I'm hoping you are reading this newsletter before the Wednesday, April 1, 2015, joint workshop at 2:00 PM at our Meadowlakes City Hall. During the workshop, the City Council and the Public Facility Corporation (PFC) Board will review the Hidden Falls complex's current operations and future plans in order to prepare for drafting FY2016 budgets. This meeting is open to the public, and your input will be appreciated.

This coming Sunday is Easter - already! The year is flying by too quickly! Our Restaurant at Hidden Falls is offering a special Easter Sunday Buffet lunch. Their food is always yummy, and this event will feature glazed ham, roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni salad, deviled eggs, garden salad, hot rolls, strawberry cheesecake and fresh baked cookies, and includes beverages. Cost is just $14.95 for adults, $6.95 for kids, and little ones free. Reservations are necessary if you want to eat there, but take-out orders will be available at 1:30 PM, (with prior reservations). Call 830-693-4467 for more info.

After your lunch, take the kids to the Children's Park on Mahan (between Quail and Chaparral) for an old fashioned Easter Egg Hunt! For children age 6 and under, the hunt will start at 2:00 PM. Ages 7 and up, will start at 2:45 PM. No RSVP is required for this one - just come and have fun! I just hope this beautiful weather holds!

METER BOX AWARENESS

With the warmer weather approaching us, the snakes will be starting to make their way out and about and our meter readers are always on the look out for little visitors in the meter boxes.  Along with this, please do not put out fake or toy snakes etc. in or near the meter boxes as this can really scare our meter readers.  We appreciate everyone looking out for the meter readers safety.

WEBWORM CONTROL

Directors of the Board of the Meadowlakes Webworm Control Coop meet Tuesday with the objective of planning the 2015 spray season for continued protection of Meadowlakes pecan trees. In addition to conducting routine business, the Board elected Jack Tibbitts (315 Stewart) as Coop Treasurer, replacing Dale Fixsen who resigned last August. The Board also confirmed current directors for another term: John Aaron - President, Bob Brown - Vice President, Larry Latshaw - Secretary, and Jim Tolles - Director at large.

Upcoming Survey - Property owners and residents should be aware that a pecan tree survey will be conducted over the next two weeks which require Directors visit the property to update pecan trees counts and assess which trees are still accessible by a tractor spray rig or instead require spray using the hand spray rig.

Annual Meeting - Coop Members and property owners are invited to attend a special public meeting for the purpose of briefing plans for the 2015 spray season, covering such topics as: fee billing, results of the tree survey, general spray operations info, and answers to questions from members and the public. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 20, 9:00 AM at City Municipal Building.

For additional information or questions about the program, feel free to contact us.
