IMPORTANT NOTICE

The below notice regarding the application of aquatic herbicide by the Lower Colorado River Authority is ONLY being directed to those individuals that live along Lake Marble Falls and utilize raw lake water for irrigation purposes.  Individuals using the City of Meadowlakes municipal water system for irrigation purposes are NOT effected by the irrigation restriction and may water on their established watering days.

Should you have any concerns regarding this notice, please feel free to contact the City of Meadowlakes utility office at 830-693-2951.

NOTICE FROM LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY

 

This notice is to inform you that LCRA will be applying an aquatic herbicide near your residence on Lake Marble Falls. The purpose of this application is to reduce the amount hydrilla in the reservoir. This is an aquatic application and no terrestrial vegetation (i.e. land application) will be targeted. The application is scheduled for October 15, 2014.

 

The herbicide being used Sonar SRP.

 

Label use restrictions include:

 

Sonar SRP has a 7 day irrigation restriction. Water should not be used for irrigation for 7 days after application. Water may be used for drinking, swimming, and animal consumption immediately after application. More information about Sonar SRP can be found at:

The treatment is being conducted pursuant to the provisions and requirements of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Aquatic Vegetation Management Plan authorized in Subchapter G, Aquatic Vegetation Management, Texas Parks and Wildlife Code, and 31 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 57, Subchapter K, Aquatic Vegetation Management Rules.
