HOLIDAY CLOSING

In observance of our Independence Day, the Meadowlakes City Offices and Public Works will be closed Friday, July 4th. Happy 4th of July!

RECYCLING UPDATE
Due to the recent changes in the schedule of the recycling route, please have your recycling out by 7 a.m. to ensure pick up.

MAYOR'S CORNER

Happy Fourth of July! I hope our residents will take part in the annual parade and the festivities at Hidden Falls! We are so lucky to live in our community. It is like stepping back in time when I walk the neighborhood streets with my Sugar every morning and most evenings (until the pavement is just too hot for her dainty paws). It is rare that I don't get to stop and chat with residents, and everyone waves as they drive by. Meadowlakes is the epitome of "Texas Friendly"!

This is budget season for all of the City's entities. The City Council will be holding public workshops this month. Our goal is to not raise our tax rate. We always appreciate the input of our residents and encourage your attendance of and participation at our workshops and meetings. Here's a schedule of upcoming public meetings (all at City Hall):

City Budget Workshop - Tuesday, July 8th - 3:00 PM

City Council Meeting - Tuesday, July 8th - 5:00 PM

City Budget Workshop - Tuesday, July 15th - 10:00 AM

ANIMAL CONTROL
white-dog-polaroid.jpg
Did you know??  There are ordinances concerning pets that most residents aren't aware of.  We have a "Short-List" of Animal Control Ordinances at City Hall that gives you a quick reference to the more relevant sections of the Meadowlakes Animal Control Ordinances.

A couple of issues have been brought to the City's attention.  These include:

1.)  All animals shall be kept under restraint from leaving a residence's lot line. If they leave the residence, they must be under restraint with a leash.

2.)  All dogs and cats must be registered at City Hall within 30 days of residency or acquisition of a new pet. A current rabies vaccination certificate and a one-time $10.00 licensing fee is required for each pet at the time of registration. City I.D. tags will be issued and worn by each animal. Thereafter, a current rabies vaccination certificate must be presented at City Hall upon expiration of their current shots. A $5.00 renewal fee will also be incurred. Once you no longer own the pet, please inform City Hall so that it may be purged from the City's files.
