Applications Are Now Open! 
  
ELAM is now accepting applications for its 2016-2017 class through our online application process. We ask that you please share this information with colleagues you think would be a good candidate for ELAM, and also through any relevant listservs or groups of which you are a part. More information on the application process is available on our website. Applications are due by January 15, 2016.
 
Applications are also now open for the Executive Leadership in Academic Technology and Engineering program (ELATE at Drexel) - a program modeled after ELAM but tailored to women in the STEM fields. We encourage you to distribute information about this program to your colleagues in these fields. More information about the program is available on the program website. Applications for ELATE are due January 15, 2016. Please contact us with any questions!

This event also is an important step in ELAM's advance towards its 25th anniversary in an evening event honoring our Founder, Page S. Morahan.

Sex and Gender Medical Education Summit a resounding Success
The Sex and Gender Medical Education Summit was the first of its kind - a national collaboration dedicated to engaging educational thought leaders in creating a roadmap to integrate sex and gender based evidence into medical and inter-professional education. The Summit was co-sponsored by AMWA, the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health, the Mayo Clinic, the Society for Women's Health Research, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, the Sex and Gender Women's Health Collaborative, Verizon, Brown University Division of Sex and Gender in Emergency Medicine, and Duke School of Medicine Office of Diversity and Inclusion. ELUM Marjorie Jenkins, M.D. (ELAM '09), served as Summit Chair for the event.

Ambika Mathur, Ph.D. (ELAM '14) was mentioned in the USA Today article Wayne State Univ. to give 10 students a free medical degree.

Vijaya Reddy, MD, MBA (ELAM '16), has been appointed as the next chairperson of the Department of Pathology at Rush University.
