Supporting Your Research: Resources for
Tenured and Tenure-Track Faculty

New and current faculty are invited to attend a session highlighting research support services and internal funding opportunities on Friday, September 9, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in Kettler Hall, Room 227. New travel funding programs from the IRSC will be introduced, and the competitive Summer Faculty Grant program will be discussed in detail.

Presented by the Office of Sponsored Programs; Institute for Research, Scholarship, and Creative Endeavors; and the IPFW Senate professional Development Subcommittee.

Be Part of the Mastodon Run 4 Scholarships

Join the Stampede this fall to help raise funds for our student-athletes! The second annual Mastodon Run 4 Scholarships is a 4-mile run/1 mile family walk to raise funds for our 14 NCAA Division 1 teams. There are several ways to participate:
  • Join a team with a captain and collect pledges
  • Join as an individual with a $25 donation
  • Corporate team challenge (new this year)

Faculty Members: Take a Student to Lunch
with Free Meal Vouchers
By request, the popular Take a Student to Lunch program is back for the second year. Vouchers are available to faculty members from now until September 30. Faculty can pick up one $20 voucher per day from the Student Life and Leadership office in Walb Union, Room 210.  Vouchers can be used for a faculty member and one or more students at Don's at Walb or Chop'd & Top'd in Kettler.

Immersion Excursions
Career Services invites faculty members to attend one of their Immersion Excursions planned for this semester. Businesses include DeBrand Fine Chocolates, Bowen Center, Memorial Coliseum, Grand Innovation Group, Shambaugh and Son, Peg-Perego, and Fort Wayne Metals. Take a tour, find out hiring needs from recruiters, and network with employees.Contact Andrea Ogubi to attend.

Get Strategic with LinkedIn
Anthony Juliano, marketing and social media strategist from Asher Agency, will present key elements of being tactical using LinkedIn on Monday, September 12, from noon to 1 p.m. in Neff Hall, Room 101. Attendees will learn how to build out a profile, market themselves, and use LinkedIn for job searches. Pizza and water will be provided. Please encourage your students to register and attend. IPFW faculty and staff can purchase tickets before they are available to the public. Tickets are limited.
