New EAP Provider
Effective July 1, Bowen Center became our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider. Benefits-eligible employees and their covered dependents may visit our EAP provider for up to three free visits per presenting problem. If additional counseling is needed, options will be discussed with the individual. Bowen Center will continue to provide monthly Lunch and Learn sessions and offer counseling on campus. Need to reach out to the Bowen Center? Call 1-800-342-5653.

Anthem
Did you know that Anthem's website provides you with preventative health guidelines? Log in, click on Health and Wellness, then click on the link in the Preventative Care Guidelines information box. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." --Benjamin Franklin

Ready to Get Fit?
Human Resources and Office of Institutional Equity (HR/OIE) and Judy Tillapaugh, director of wellness and fitness, have been working to bring you additional fitness options. A new partnership with the YMCA will bring fitness to the whole family at a reduced monthly rate through payroll deductions. You can purchase Gates Center memberships through payroll deductions as well! Both of these options will start in August. More details to come!
Be Part of the Proud Crowd

IPFW staff and faculty "stars" are needed for crowd video footage for a short video that will be shown to faculty and staff. Gather in the Atrium area near the bookstore at 11:30 a.m on Wednesday, July 27, just before the Summerfest luncheon.

We would like a huge crowd of proud IPFW people! It will only take 15 or 20 minutes. For more information, contact Bernie Lohmuller at [email protected] or 481-6056.
Don't Miss It! Summerfest 2016 is Next Week

Celebrate Summerfest Vegas-style Wednesday, July 27! All IPFW employees are welcome, including current student employees and retirees. Check out the event schedule and plan your day in "Vegas."

A few volunteers are still needed, and the registration deadline for lunch is tomorrow, July 21.

Thanks for a Successful United Way Campaign

The 2016 United Way Campaign concluded this spring and exceeded last year's participation and giving.

Here's the breakdown:
  • Benefited faculty and staff gave or pledged more than $20,000
  • The participation rate was 12.5%.
  • Participation increased by 40 employees
  • Giving increased by more than $3,000
To celebrate the increased participation, the co-chairs have decided to award prizes to 15 employees selected at random. Winners will be contacted directly. Congratulations to all, and thanks to the IPFW community for LIVING UNITED and supporting our local agencies.
