Watch for Your 2016--17 Compensation Letter Soon
Last week Chancellor Carwein announced modest salary increases effective July 1. As a reminder, employees will receive, on average, a 1.5% merit increase. All benefited employees will receive a 2016--17 salary letter no later than Wednesday, July 13.
The new rates for biweekly-paid employees were effective with the pay period that started June 27 and will be paid July 20. For monthly-paid employees, the new rates will be effective with the pay period that starts July 1 and will be paid July 29. Please contact your direct supervisor if you have questions about the increases.

Family Resource Program Updates
As previously announced, the New Parents Program will be relaunched as the IPFW Family Resource Program beginning July 1. Here are some updates:
- A resource fair is being planned next spring as the main family event of the year. Campus and community partners will offer resources and information, along with food, drawings, and give-a-ways
- Three to four brown bag lunch sessions will be offered to all staff and faculty utilizing partnerships with campus and community programs (such as the Early Childhood Alliance)

Final Reminder for Printer Maintenance Agreements
This is the final reminder to submit printer maintenance renewal agreements for fiscal year 2017. Information was sent to departments via email on May 18, and signed renewal forms for printer maintenance were to have been sent to Purchasing by June 17. Questions should be directed to rosenblc@ipfw.edu.

Get Ready for the Biggest Job Fair of the Year
Save the date for the Mastodon Job and Internship Fair----Tuesday, September 20, from noon to 3 p.m. This is the largest IPFW career fair of the year. More than 150 employers will be here with hundreds of local, national, and international opportunities. It's also a great opportunity for students to network with employers and practice their elevator pitch.
When you're creating your fall syllabus, consider adding the job fair to your class calendar and attending as a group. Career counselors will be available to present a brief presentation to your class as well. If you aren't teaching a class during the fair, you're welcome to attend and network with professionals in your field. Register for a presentation

Try Tai Chi This Summer
Tai Chi is a martial art known for defense techniques as well as alleviating stress and anxiety and promoting inner peace. Give it a try!
Gather outside the Friends Pavilion (west of Walb Union) every Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m., July 12 through August 2. Rain site is in Liberal Arts Building, Room 134. Wear comfortable clothing and fitness shoes.
