Mark Your Calendar----Homecoming 2016
Get ready for Homecoming 2016---- Color Me Don!---- February 13-- 20. Our biggest homecoming week ever features activities and competitions for the entire campus to enjoy. There's something for everyone in this year's celebration---- students, faculty, and staff!

Saturday, February 13
  • We kick off Homecoming week with a Polar Bear Plunge at Student Housing. All money will go to Special Olympics Indiana. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and you plunge at noon.

 Monday

  • Kick off the week of activities with Mingle Monday. Hang out and enjoy a snack while playing board games with your friends. Mingle with us from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Walb Classic Ballroom.
  • Get your aggression out with the annual Homecoming Dodgeball Tournament at 6 p.m. in the Athletics Center Fieldhouse. Preregistration is required
  • Miss your high school dance days? Join Student Housing for the Homecoming Semi-formal Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Walb Classic Ballroom. 

Tuesday 

  • Do our staff and faculty have what it takes to take on the students? The fourth annual Students vs. Staff/Faculty Basketball Game starts at 7 p.m. with a tip-off by Chancellor Carwein. The students want to keep their trophy, but the staff and faculty are hungry for a win. One dollar or a canned food item for the Community Harvest Food Bank gets you in.

 Wednesday

  • IPFW's own Cupcake Wars will take place in the Walb Classic Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • The women's basketball team takes on Oral Roberts at 7 p.m. in the Gates Center.

 Thursday

  • Rise and Shine Breakfast from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Kettler Hall first floor lobby.
  • The men's basketball team takes on South Dakota State University at 7 p.m. in the Gates Center.

 Friday

  • Join us at Student Housing for the Spirit Stomp at 5:30 p.m. You can get painted IPFW blue before we stampede over to Gates for the men's volleyball game!
  • The men's volleyball team takes on Lewis at 7 p.m. in the Gates Center.

 Saturday

  • Men's volleyball takes on Loyola at 3 p.m. in the Gates Center.
  • The annual Homecoming Celebration takes place at 5 p.m. in the Athletics Center Fieldhouse. We will announce the winners of the weekly contests and Alumni Award recipients, meet student-athletes, and more. Enjoy a pulled chicken meal. For the first time, we re offering a Kidz Corner, so come for a family affair! If you can't get a ticket into the Gates Center, watch the live stream in the fieldhouse.
  • Men's basketball takes on Omaha at 7 p.m. Do not wait to get your ticket for this electrifying end to Homecoming Week!

 All Week

  • Check out the many departments decorated for Homecoming festivities.
  • You be the judge for the Student Org Sheet Decorating Contest. (Contact James Velez at velejt01@ipfw.edu to volunteer to be a judge.)
  • Homecoming King and Queen voting all week.

  • And what's a Homecoming without royalty? Check out the Homecoming candidates, then encourage students to vote starting Monday, February 15. Voting continues through Friday. We'll crown the winners during half-time at the big Homecoming game on Saturday.

Dons for a Cause Wrist Bands----and Wear Jeans

  • IPFW student-athletes will be coming through campus selling IPFW Mastodons---- Dons for a Cause wrist bands. The goal is to sell 700. Proceeds will go to the Summit League Food Fight. If you purchase your wrist band now, Chancellor Carwein has agreed to allow those who purchase them the opportunity to wear jeans the week of Homecoming if they wear an IPFW-branded shirt
