Gera Haus Features Upscale German Food Truck Fare
Each semester, senior students in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management's Advanced Food Service Management class create and operate a themed pop-up restaurant in the Holiday Inn at IPFW's Mastodon Grill that's open on Tuesday evenings. Students handle all aspects of the restaurant, including ordering ingredients, cooking, table service, and management.
Gera Haus is named for Gera, Germany, one of Fort Wayne's sister cities, and features an upscale twist on German food truck fare. Dinner is served every Tuesday from 5 to 10 p.m. now through December 8 (closed October 13). IPFW students, faculty, and staff receive a 15% discount on food orders. Visit the restaurant's Facebook and Twitter pages for menus and call 260-482-3800 for reservations. Read the news release
