Parking Permit Applications Now Online
Parking permit applications can now be submitted electronically. Access the application on the University Police website under the Parking Information navigation link, or you can still fill out a paper copy in the Support Services Building if you prefer.

Too Much Stuff? Unload It at the Office Supply Swap
Get rid of office supplies you've been storing but don't need----it's a great way to be green and save money! Drop off your unused/unwanted office supplies in Kettler Hall, Room G40 from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21. The items will be organized for afternoon store hours.
Return to Kettler G40 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. to find supplies your office can use. It's all free! Items that have not found new homes will be donated when possible. More expensive leftover items, such as toner cartridges, will be advertised on the IPFW Vibe newsgroups. These items will not be accepted:
- Broken items
- Equipment such as printers and scanners
- Furniture

Mentor an International Student
To establish connections between international students and academic or professional mentors, the Office of International Education will host two Mentor Dinners this fall:
- Wednesday, September 2, 5 p.m., Walb Union, Room G21
- Monday, October 19, noon, Walb Union, Rooms 222-- 226
Faculty, staff, or community members who would like to connect with international students are invited to attend this two-part program. R.S.V.P. to iss@ipfw.edu by August 26.

 Celebrate Dr. Seuss Book Release at Follett's
Mark your calendar for Thursday, July 30, when Follett's IPFW Bookstore will host a Dr. Seuss New Release Celebration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities will include readings from the new book What Pet Should I Get?
Follett's is looking for volunteers to read, paint faces, direct activities, or hand out snacks and prizes. If you're interested, call 481-0300 or email 0281trd@fheg.follett.com with your contact information, volunteer interest, and available time. Feel free to share this information with family, friends, and other organizations.
The book can be pre-ordered with a 30 percent discount (no limit, no extra charges) by contacting the bookstore. Your copy will be available for pick up on the national release date (Tuesday, July 28), or you can get it when you join the celebration. If you prefer, one book can be shipped directly to you via FedEx with a shipping charge of $5.95.

 Student Travel Arrangements ----Learn the Basics
The Student Travel Committee is offering training sessions designed for secretaries, advisors, and others who assist students with university-funded travel. The sessions will cover topics such as filling out requests, accounting guidelines, paperwork timelines, etc. You may attend any of the four sessions from July 20 through 22 in Walb Union, Room 214. Student Handbooks Available
Student handbooks will be delivered to several main distribution areas this week, such as Follett's Bookstore and the Kettler Information Desk. Handbooks will be distributed at New Student Orientation in August, but if your department would like some for students who are visiting your office or for an orientation, contact Laural Dailey at 481-6601 or daileyl@ipfw.edu.
