50 Years of Transforming Lives

Watch the 50th Celebration Video

Guests at Saturday's 50th Celebration Blue Tie Gala saw the premiere of the 50th Celebration video, produced locally by Punch Films. The video features many faculty and staff members, students and alumni, and community supporters sharing their memories of IPFW's history and hopes for the future.

Food Trucks on Campus Beginning May 18;

Summer Hours Start at Bon Bon's and Mastodon Mart

sliced-tomato.jpg As stated in the April 22 edition of Inside IPFW, Aramark is replacing Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and Subway as our food service partner. Due to the renovation needed in these spaces, all three vendors have closed. Aramark is expected to begin operation August 24. During this period of transition, one of the following food truck vendors will be on campus in the mall area north of Neff Hall Monday--Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. beginning May 18:

Bear in mind, these vendors may be impacted by inclement weather or truck problems. Follow them on Twitter or Facebook for their menu options and updates on their plans to be on campus.

Bon Bon's Coffee, located in the ETCS lobby, has begun summer hours: Monday--Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.

Mastodon Mart, on the ground floor of Walb Union, will be open Monday--Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mastodon Mart now has mini pizzas and frozen burritos and is looking at other food offerings. Snacks and drinks are available in Mastodon Mart and the first level of Follett's Bookstore.

Information about the food trucks and future Aramark food services can be found on our website.

Watch for Info on Clutter

Microsoft Office 365 has released a new feature for your inbox called Clutter. Clutter can use information learned from message sorting to predict the messages you are likely to ignore. It then routes them to the Clutter folder to help keep your inbox clean. Clutter is an optional feature, which means it will remain disabled until you turn it on.

Microsoft has been sending emails to users to encourage enabling this feature, which some have interpreted as spam. Be advised that this email is legitimate, and turning on the feature is permitted. Questions about Clutter? Contact the HelpDesk at 481-6030 or helpdesk@ipfw.edu.

Contract Terminated as Not Cost Effective

After weighing the costs and benefits of the use of MAP-Works, the decision has been made to terminate the contract at end of the spring 2015 semester. With a low adoption rate campus-wide, the costs more than outweighed the benefits of utilizing the software. As we continue to align all programs, efforts, outreach, and support services to PLAN 2020, specifically with an emphasis on student success, we look forward to advancing ways to proactively support our students.

Thank you to those who used the software to connect with students. We appreciate the continued collaboration with you and anticipate strengthened dedication to student success. Questions or concerns? Contact Krissy Creager, assistant vice chancellor for student success and transitions, at creagerk@ipfw.edu or 481-6140.
