"Tech Talk" with Dan Crosby, Google Software Engineer and IPFW Alumnus

Dan Crosby, IPFW alumnus and senior software developer for Google Inc., will be on campus for a series of Tech Talks on March 26 and 27 entitled "Life at Google: Do Cool Things That Matter." Free pizza and official Google swag will be available to those who register in advance.

This is a recruiting event for all IPFW students who enjoy solving problems in creative ways, but it's also open to faculty, alumni, and staff. Google is beginning a new campus recruitment initiative where alumni return to their alma mater to entice students to learn more about the company, the types of positions available at Google, and to communicate the company's vision. Dan will not be collecting rsums or interviewing during the Tech Talks, but he will be discussing life at Google, what he does as a senior software engineer, and what students can do now to prepare for careers at Google. If you have difficulty making your reservation, contact the Department of Computer Science at 481-6803 or go to ET 125. Register for a Tech Talk   Apply for software engineering positions   Apply for Google internships

  1. currently enrolled in classes as an IPFW student;
  2. working at least 10 hours a week on campus; and
  3. employed in the same department/office for at least six months.

The nomination deadline for both awards in Wednesday, April 1, by 5 p.m. One undergraduate and one graduate student will be honored, so please nominate any student worker who fits the above criteria. Each student will receive a plaque and a $250 award. One supervisor will be awarded a plaque and a faculty/staff parking pass.

You're encouraged to engage the whole office by asking multiple people to write the various sections and the nomination form. If you would like to submit additional information to support the nomination, please email those documents to Karen Campbell, obringek@ipfw.edu.
