Homecoming 2015
Mark your calendar now for Homecoming 2015---- Feel the Rumble!---- January 20-- 24. Homecoming Week features activities and competitions for the entire campus to enjoy. There's something for everyone in this year's celebration---- students, faculty, and staff!
  
Tuesday
  • The week kicks off with lunch by CASA Italian and the first round of the 4th annual Cupcake Eating Contest in the Walb Classic Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with Meet the Dons---- Men's and Women's Golf teams
  • A Red Cross bloodmobile will be parked on Mastodon Way from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accept donations
  • Dodgeball tournament at 6 p.m. at Gates Sports Center. Pre-registration required on IM Leagues

Wednesday

  • Faculty/staff vs. student basketball game at the Gates Sports Center. Students will be able to participate in the Chuck-a-Don contest. Admission fee is a canned food item or $1 donation to Community Harvest Food Bank. Doors open at 5 p.m., game starts at 5:30 p.m. with a tip-off by Chancellor Carwein

Thursday

  • Cosmos breakfast with alumni from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with giveaways for students and alumni with Meet the Dons---- Softball and Baseball teams
  • Polar Bear Plunge in the river at 11:59 p.m. Snacks and fun in Student Housing at 10 p.m. with a run to the river at 11:45 p.m., or join us at the river to plunge in at 11:59 p.m.

Friday

  • Qdoba lunch in the Walb Union Atrium from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with Meet the Dons---- Men's Basketball and Women's Volleyball teams

Saturday

  • Women's Basketball game at 3 p.m. in the Gates Sports Center. Free hoodie to the first 200 students with valid game ticket and student ID
  • Homecoming Celebration in Gates Fieldhouse. Doors open at 5 p.m. with tons of food from Nelsons, freebies, and fun!
  • Men's Basketball game at 7 p.m. in the Gates Sports Center. Enjoy the game in the Sports Center or stay in the Fieldhouse after the celebration to watch the game live! Free fleece to the first 500 students with valid game ticket and student ID

All Week

  • This year's Department Decorating Contest will be judged by IPFW alumni
  • Homecoming King and Queen voting all over campus
  • Student organization Homecoming Sheets on display in the Gates Sports Center Atrium

Homecoming Court

  • And what's a Homecoming without royalty? Check out the Homecoming Candidates, then encourage students to vote starting Tuesday, January 20. Voting continues through Friday, January 23. We'll crown the winners during half-time at the big Homecoming game on Saturday, January 24

 Dons for a Cause Wrist Bands

  • IPFW student-athletes will be coming through campus selling IPFW Mastodons---- Dons for a Cause wrist bands. The goal is to sell 700. Proceeds will go to the Summit League Food Fight. If you purchase your wrist band now, Chancellor Carwein has agreed to allow those who purchase them the opportunity to wear jeans the week of Homecoming if they wear an IPFW-branded shirt
  • If your department or group would like to collect food, you can arrange for pickup at your office. To learn more about becoming involved, or if you need have food picked up, contact Ron Clark at 481-6617 or clark@ipfw.edu
