Policy Reminders from Financial and Administrative Affairs
IPFW faculty and staff are subject to regulations and policies that affect financial results. A memorandum issued June 17, 2014, by VCFAA David Wesse contains these policy statements:

IPFW Summerfest 2014----1964: Then and Now
Celebrate summer during our annual employee and retiree appreciation day---- IPFW Summerfest---- and re-visit the groovy year of 1964. Go Mad for Mod!

Because Summerfest is IPFW's employee and retiree appreciation day, attendance is limited to employees and retirees.

Groovy Threads for Summerfest
Summerfest is almost here and you wanna look groovy! The Administrative and Professional Staff Advisory Committee (APSAC) is selling tie-dyed T-shirts to put you in the spirit of the '60s! The shirts will be imprinted with IPFW Summerfest 2014---- 1964: Then and Now. The cost is $10 for S-- XL and $12.50 for 2X-- 3X.
 
Purchase one before noon on July 3 and APSAC will contact you on July 14 to pick up your shirt before the event. A limited number of shirts in select sizes will be available at Summerfest, and you don't have to register for Summerfest in order to purchase a shirt. Check out the T-shirt and make your purchase today. The link is also available on the APSAC home page and theSummerfest website.
Make Your Presence Known at Freshmen Fest
Raise the visibility of your department by reserving your table at this year's Freshmen Fest on Friday, August 22. The resource fair will take place during the block party from 2:30 to 5 p.m. in the Athletics Center Fieldhouse.

Linda Ruffolo and Jay Thayer Retiring on June 30

Jay Thayer
Linda Ruffolo, executive director of development, and Jay Thayer, assistant director of development, are both retiring on June 30, 2014. If you would like to extend your good wishes, large cards for each of them are available at the bursar's office through Friday, June 27.
 
An endowment is being established in Ruffolo's name. Endowment gifts will be accepted in the Office of Advancement (Development) in Kettler Hall, Room 140.
Gary Schott Set to Retire on June 30

Gary Schott, director of entrepreneurship and corporate training in the Division of Continuing Studies, will retire on June 30 this year. A reception in his honor will take place June 27 from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Kettler Hall Faculty Lounge. R.S.V.P. to [email protected] or call 481-6239.

Need Something in a Hurry? Try the Mastodon Mart
 Faculty and staff always receive a 20 percent discount at the Mastodon Mart---- IPFW's convenience store. Located east of the Mastodon Stomping Grounds on the ground floor of Walb Student Union, you'll find breakfast items, ice cream, microwaveable items, candy, gum, nuts, chips, magazines, and much more.
Clear Out the Clutter at the Office Supply Swap
This is your annual opportunity to get rid of office supplies you've been storing but no longer need. Clear out the clutter and get organized!
 
Drop off unused/unwanted office supplies in Kettler Hall, Room G40 from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 17. The supplies will be organized for the afternoon store hours. No equipment or furniture will be accepted.
 
Come back to KT G40 that afternoon from 1 to 2:30 p.m. to find items that your office can use. It's all free! Items that don't find new homes will be donated to nonprofits or programs such as Tools for School. More expensive items such as toner cartridges will be advertised on the IPFW Vibe eBoards.
