Course Site Space Increases for Blackboard
Blackboard Learn As a result of a Blackboard course space audit last fall, there has been a change to the amount of space provided for each Blackboard course.
  • 500 MB of space is now available to each course. The previous quota was 300 MB
  • Student submissions are not included in this quota limit
  • Additional space over 500 MB can be provided if needed. Faculty can request an increase by sending a request to the IT Services help desk, or 481-6030

Instructors and course builders are still encouraged to store media content outside of Blackboard in either the IPFW Media Vault or on the Echo 360 server. This provides a more reliable delivery of media to students. Contact the IT Services help desk for assistance at or 481-6030.
