Avoid the Rush----Enroll for 2014 Benefits Today
This year everyone must enroll, including those who have currently opted out of medical coverage. Employees will still be able to opt out of coverage; however, those who do not enroll will be defaulted to the highest deductible plan, Purdue Health Plan HSA 2, without a Health Savings Account.

IPFW Human Resources has set high goals during Open Enrollment----90 percent enrolled by the end of the day, Friday, November 8. Currently, 30 percent of benefit-eligible staff have enrolled. If the 90 percent goal is reached, the remaining days of November (12--30) will be designated as "jeans days." Look for enrollment updates in each week of Inside IPFW and on the goal thermometer outside Human Resources.

For more information about benefits open enrollment, visit the Human Resources website or contact Tina Grady at 481-6684 or Tina Sullivan at 481-6683.

Great Opportunity for IPFW Graduating Seniors
This is the second year that IPFW students are eligible to apply for the Junior Fellows Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Each year, a rigorous national competition is held to select approximately 10 to 12 graduating seniors to serve as research assistants on Carnegie Endowment projects. They are matched with senior associates----academics, former government officials, lawyers, and journalists from around the world----to work on a variety of issues related to international affairs.

Junior Fellows have the opportunity to conduct research for books, participate in meetings with high-level officials, contribute to congressional testimony, and organize briefings attended by scholars, journalists, and government officials. They also have the opportunity to work at the Endowment in Washington, D.C., for the period of one year and provide research assistance to scholars working on Carnegie Endowment projects.
