Purdue Benefits Open Enrollment Guides Coming Monday
Purdue open enrollment for 2014 benefits begins Monday, October 28, and runs through 6 p.m. (ET), November 15. Faculty and staff should watch for their enrollment guides, which will be dropped in campus mail Monday or Tuesday. New medical plan options and significant changes in medical premiums make it important for everyone to review their benefit options and actively enroll in the best 2014 coverage for themselves and their family. This year everyone must enroll----including those who have currently opted out of medical coverage. Those who do not enroll will be automatically enrolled in the highest deductible plan, Purdue Health Plan HSA 2, without a Health Savings Account. IPFW Human Resources has set a high goal during open enrollment----90 percent of the benefit-eligible staff to be enrolled by the end of the day Friday, November 8. Employees who are enrolled by the end of day November 8 will be eligible for one of three IPFW Athletic Center memberships (including 3 personal training sessions) or 1 staff parking permit. If the 90 percent goal is met, the remaining days of November (12--30) will be designated as jeans days. Look for weekly enrollment updates in Inside IPFW or on the goal thermometer outside Human Resources. For more information about benefits open enrollment, go to the HR website or contact Tina Grady at 481-6684 or Tina Sullivan at 481-6683

United Way Campaign Postponed Until Spring 2014
As an employee of IPFW, you know that our campus has long been a proud supporter of United Way of Allen County. This year we will be giving you the opportunity to give back to our community through the IPFW United Way online giving site, but we are postponing the campaign until spring 2014. If you would like to make your one-time pledge prior to the end of 2013, you can fill out a paper pledge form (available from Kelly Shanks, KT 160) and your gift will count toward the IPFW campaign in the spring. Employees who plan to give through payroll deduction will have that opportunity in March 2014.
Please consider making a donation to United Way of Allen County this year and support the wonderful work being accomplished in our community. IPFW is running an online giving campaign this year; however, if you would like to make your contribution through check, please fill out a pledge form and return it to Kelly Shanks in KT 160.
Thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration of your pledge and your compassion and caring for our community. If you have any questions about the matches or your pledge, please contact Irene Walters, executive director, University Relations and Communications.

Concur Travel Training Begins
IPFW began its transformation of employee travel booking and expense reporting Monday, October 21, when the Accounting Services travel team, campus business managers, and account clerks attended training on the Concur Technologies Travel and Expense Reporting application. The system will replace the paper Form 17 and Form 25 processes used for years. Once the business office staff have been trained, Accounting Services will begin traveler and delegate training, to be completed by Thanksgiving break. Thereafter, the paper forms will be retired and employees will use Concur to make travel reservations and file travel expense claims. To prepare, employees are encouraged to visit the Accounting website to view video simulations of Concur features and processes.
