Inside IPFW Debuts New Look
 This week marks the debut of Inside IPFW's new look. We hope you find the design to be clean, modern, and easy to read. Feature stories are now full-width, with small,ongoing updates such as New Faces and StreetWise at the bottom in a two-column format.
We've added a new feature----Photo of the Week-----where you will find new additions (or hidden gems) from IPFW's vast photo vault.
Two new publications from the Chancellor's office now contain news that was formerly found in Inside IPFW: IPFW in the News and From the Desk of the Chancellor are delivered to you weekly by Nicole Wilkins, chief communications officer. These communiqu�s feature recent mentions of IPFW research, people, programs, and events in the media and deliver news of students, faculty, and staff achievements.Editorial guidelines describing the types of information we are seeking for these communications pieces can be found in the News section of the IPFW website.

Interim Director of Athletics and Recreation Appointed

Kelley Hartley Hutton, head women's volleyball coach at IPFW, has been named interim director of athletics, effective Aug. 1, 2013. Tommy Bell, director of athletics, will leave IPFW this summer to assume a new position as director of athletics at Western Illinois University.
"Kelley's leadership in Athletics and her stewardship as head coach of the women's volleyball program make her a trusted resource for our university," said Stan Davis, interim chancellor for financial affairs. "Her administrative experience, guidance, and talent will serve us well through the transition period." Read the story ...

Supervise for Success Open for Fall Registration

Supervise for Success participants exchange ideas as they discuss application of the Myers-Briggs learning unit in their work environment.

Human Resources Training and Development will offer the Supervise for Success training program for employees again this fall. The program focuses on the foundations essential to leadership, communication, the ability to inspire performance, hiring the right person, and more.

Maintenance May Cause Lost Internet Connection
On Saturday, August 3, from 4 to 6 p.m., ITaP at Purdue West Lafayette will be performing network maintenance. This should not affect any IPFW systems; however, there is a chance that IPFW could lose Internet connection during this window as a result of the maintenance. If an outage occurs, you will not be able to access any off-campus websites from on campus, nor will you be able to access IPFW sites from off campus, including Blackboard.

Yearly New Employee Orientation
Human Resources cordially invites current employees and new employees to a New Employee Orientation, Wednesday, July 31, from 8:30 a.m. to noon in Kettler Hall, Room G06. If you were unable to attend an orientation when you started working at IPFW, this is your chance. Top administrators will address topics such as Our Mission, the History of IPFW, Community Connections, Student and Employee Statistics, Diversity, and Working at a University and Its Uniqueness.
