Greetings!

Since 2003, the Sustainability Energy Efficiency (Se2) Awards havebeen recognizing leadership in energy efficient and sustainable design, construction, and operation of Wisconsin commercial buildings and related systems. The awards were created to encourage design and construction innovation through projects that:

  • Explore energy efficiency as a basic standard of building design.
  • Incorporate principles of sustainability and energy efficiency in the choice of building materials, water use, building design and siting.
  • Include energy efficiency in lighting design or HVAC without sacrificing indoor air quality.
  • Incorporate energy efficient lighting design and construction without compromising occupant comfort or environmental quality.
  • Investigate new building materials and methodologies that contribute to sustainable and/or energy-efficient building design.
  • Explore state-of-the-art computer modeling methods for predicting and evaluating the impact of design decisions on building performance.
If you have worked on a project that fits any of the points in the list above, please consider entering the 2014 Se2 Awards. Until last year, the awards only recognized new construction and were expanded to include existing buildings. Projects do not need to be LEED certified to be eligible.

Winning projects receive visibility recognition through press releases, website presence, and an award ceremony.  Past participants have also enjoyed the greater collaboration among owners, designers, builders, and operators that collaborated to compile information required for entry.

Learn about past winners, how to enter, the requirements, and eligibility at www.wgba.org/se2awards. Entry forms and fees are due by April 30, 2014.

Thank you,
