March,2013
Friends,
The much awaited LEED v.4 is coming soon. Preceding its imminent arrival is a flurry of information, education and voting opportunities. Whether it's a last public comment period or a Technical presentation in your city, USGBC is putting forth great effort to ensure that you understand every nuance of the latest iteration and have an opportunity to be involved in the vote to approve the final version. The 6th public comment period is March 1st - March 31st. To participte in the 6th Public Comment period, the Consensus Body opt-in, the Ballot and view the 5th public comment period results, click HERE.
What WGBA is doing to bring LEED v.4 training closer to home, is offering in-place Technical Update sessions here in WI given by USGBC's Assistant Project Manager of the LEED v.4 Program, Chrissy Macken. Chrissy will come to Milwaukee, Madison and Neenah on April 4th and 5th to present a 3 hour Technical Update on LEED v. 4. A special thank you to our program sponsors Transwestern, Energy Center of Wisconsin and Miron Construction for sponsoring these great learning opportunities.
Another thank you goes to Joe Azzarello of Kohler. Joe is a global green building expert and USGBC LEED Faculty member who is teaching our second Green Associate exam prep class of the year at Engberg Anderson on March 22nd. Joe is one of the most respected green building experts in the country and this is a rare opportunity to learn from the best in the business. If you know of anyone who is looking for exam prep, send them to Joe's class!
Lastly, check out USGBC's newest product called GBIG. It stands for Green Building Information Gateway and it is super cool. Its chock full of green events and projects, green structures, green processes and practices, and groups and project portfolios for all cities, states and countries. Check-out Wisconsin on GBIG HERE.
All my best,
