Hello Titans!
Welcome back from the long weekend! On Saturday, we took first place in the Junior Division in the Youth Day parade. Thank you Ms. Cowles for your vision and to all who helped make our float number one. The Unplug Challenge was also a huge success. Click here for more kudos.
This week, we have a couple of Volleyball games and a Fine Arts showcase after school. If your schedule allows, please join us for these exciting events.
2nd Quarter Starts Tomorrow (Wednesday)!
Tomorrow, all students should report to their advisement class before first period to pick up their 2nd quarter schedule. Students were made aware of this transition, last week and today, via morning announcements and through their Advisement teacher. Connection class changes will occur for the majority of the students. Advisement classes may change for a few students, as we try to maintain 24 or less students per Advisement class. Advisement placements occur alphabetically and changes are not possible. Please help us by reminding your student to report to their current Advisement teacher before first period to receive their schedule for 2nd quarter.
Students will receive their 9-week report card during their advisement on October 19th.
Our first Saturday School is this Saturday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. If your child needs to review curriculum content, sharpen GA Milestones skills, and/or complete unfinished assignments, we have a place for him/her. For questions, please contact our Graduation Coach, Dr. Griffin - GriffinL@fultonschools.org.
On Friday, October 23rd at 7:45 am, I will host a Principal's Council interest meeting in the media center. Any student who is interested in working closely with school administration to help make decisions for our school, feel free to stop in to find out how to apply to serve on this council.
Have a great week!

ITBS
The Iowa Tests of Basic Skills is a norm-referenced test (NRT). Scores from the NRT are used to compare the performance of Fulton's students with the performance of students in a national sample who are:
- in the same grade, and
- who took the test at the same point in the school year.
Teachers and schools use the results for evaluation, decision-making, and instructional improvement. Scores on nationally-normed tests are one criterion, used to determine placement for the Talented and Gifted program.
