Hello, Titans!

What an exciting week at EPMS! I was at Mimosa Elementary Tuesday night for their Math Night, I enjoyed the Orchestra Concert last night, and I am sticking around tonight for the Movie Night. On top of all of that, the 8th grade students gave their best on the ITBS this week.

Things to Celebrate:

• Our very own Veena Jaipradeep raised over $1500 for a classmate battling leukemia. Though she barely knows Trenton Harris other than passing him in the hallways,  she worked together with her out of state family and friends to raise the money. The Harris family was amazed and inspired by Veena. Elkins Pointe Middle School is proud to have both Veena and Trenton as part of the Titan Family. Check out the website for pictures.
• Next week is School Spirit Week! This will be an opportunity to raise some funds for the 8th grade trip, and a time for students and staff to have some fun. Click here for details so that your student doesn't miss out on the fun.
• We had about 54 students participate in Reflections this year, and they definitely gave their best.  This list below will go on to the North Fulton PTA Reflections Competition. I look forward to joining them at the upcoming District Competition!
  

 Things to Know:

• Low Cost Replacement Eye Glasses Clinic: The cost of the new frames and lenses is $25.00 and they will be mailed to your home. Click here for more information.
• Mark your calendars for November 13th for some early holiday shopping! Premier Designs Jewelry has graciously offered to host a fundraiser here at our school. The teacher lunchroom will be set up for parents to come check out the jewelry, and place orders from 8:00am - 11:00am. 10% of the money will come back to the school, which will be funneled into rewards for students throughout the school year. So come on by and get some early shopping done (or make a wish list of your own)!
• Attached here  please find the letter about the 8th grade Field Trip in the Spring. There are lots of details, and the bottom of the form must be returned. Please take the time to read.
• Don't forget that November 6th is a student holiday, for Presidential Elections.
