Our 2012 Winter Solstice celebration is opening TODAY at 4 PM at the Peace Village in Lincoln, VT. Everyone is welcome! Please come in person if you can or join in from afar! December 20, 2012 (Thursday)
4:00 PM -- Fire in Arbor will be lit, and will remain lit through the end of practices on December 21. Prayers and Dances will be offered.
December 21, 2012 (Friday)
8:00 AM -- Prayers at Sacred Fire in Arbor.
9:30 AM -- Seated in Adawee Temple.
10:00 AM -- Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo will arrive. Webcast will begin.
1:00 - 3:00 PM -- Break for lunch. Webcast will also break.
3:00 - 6:00 PM -- Continue practice in Temple with Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo
6:00 - 7:00 PM -- Buddhist practice in Temple, with Heart Sutra and Samantabhadra Prayer, concluding with butter lamps offering carried to the Peace Stupa.
Potluck dinner follows and Jeanne and Fran's home near the Peace Village (bring a dish). Donations are most welcome as they help to support our ongoing activities. Thank you for joining us. ***** In January, Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo will begin a new cycle of the Peacekeeper teachings. These foundational practices of the Ywahoo lineage correspond to the Cherokee ceremonial cycle. This is a rare and precious opportunity to receive the teachings directly from the 27th-generation Ywahoo lineage holder. The opening for this new cycle will be offered on January 19-20, 2013 in the Adawi Temple at the Sunray Peace Village, and also via webcast, where you can receive the teachings live or later as a video recording. Space in the Temple is limited.
