We will be joining together for the 2012 Winter Solstice at the Peace Village in Lincoln, VT and everyone is welcome! Please come in person if you can or join in from afar! ( We hope to be able to webcast from the Temple, and if we can, we will offer more details as we get closer.) Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo says, "Together we observe 2012 as the completion of one cycle and the opening gateway of expanded awareness, manifestion and accomplishments. The year 2012 and the next 52 years of this cycle are an open moment for humanity--individuals, families, clans and nations rebirth!" On Thursday December 20, the Lighting of the Sacred Fire will be at 4:00 PM with opening prayers. Offerings and practices will continue throughout the all night Fire vigil, so dress warmly and in layers! Practices will continue throughout Dec. 21- Friday and depending on the weather, will be done both at the Fire and in the Temple of the Adawees. The Firekeepers will continue the Fire as the group meets in the Temple with Venerable Dhyani at 10:00 AM and continuous practice will be offered throughout the day with dances and meditations both at the Fire and in the Temple. The Fire will close at sunset and evening practices conclude with joining together at the Peace Stupa at 7:00 PM with the lighting of the Butter Lamps and processing to the Temple together with the practices of the Heart Sutra and Samantabhadra Prayers. Rev. Tori ***** In January, Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo will begin a new seven-year cycle of the Peacekeeper teachings. These foundational practices of the Ywahoo lineage correspond to the seven-year Cherokee ceremonial cycle. This is a rare and precious opportunity to receive the teachings directly from the 27th-generation Ywahoo lineage holder. The opening for this new seven-year cycle will be offered on January 19-20, 2013 in the Adawi Temple at the Sunray Peace Village, and also via webcast, where you can receive the teachings live or later as a video recording. Space in the Temple is limited.
