Morga brings their upbeat Irish trad style to the Twin Cities for one night! 7:30pm at the Celtic Junction.

Two CIM Students Traveling to Ireland for the
Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann!!
Two students from the Center for Irish Music will be traveling to Sligo this week to compete
Adrienne O'Shea (13 yrs.) will be competing in Irish language song, English language song, tin whistle, and piano accompaniment. She has been a CIM student since she was very young and has studied with Dáithí, Cory, Norah and Brian.
Moira Flagstad (16 yrs.) will be competing on tin whistle. She has been taking tin whistle lessons from Brian Miller for 9 years and and also studied fiddle with Jode and Nathan.
Adrienne and Moira will also compete in the duet category, with Adrienne on Irish flute and Moira on whistle. They will both be attending the Scoil Eigse, which is a series of day-long intensive instrument-specific workshops with master artists in the days leading up to the competitions.

Good morning friends!
The Irish Fair of Minnesota, our local FREE Irish festival is only 4 days away!! Join in the fun on Harriet Island from August 7-9 for performances, demonstrations and sessions. See below for details on how to connect with CIM at Irish Fair.
On Sunday, August 23rd, we hope ALL of you will join us from 2-5pm for our Annual Open House at the Celtic Junction. Come play a tune, meet our instructors, attend a demonstration (all ages), see our space and sign up for Fall lessons & classes.
Registration is open for our Fall term! You can register online now for group classes and ensembles. Private lessons can be set up directly through Chelsea at chall@centerforirishmusic.org. If you have a prefered lesson time (or day) from a previous term, please register as soon as possible to reserve your spot. August 20th is the deadline for returning students to reserve private lesson times. Fall term starts Tuesday, September 8th.
If you have questions about programming, please contact me directly and I will try and point you in the right direction or pass you onto one of our wonderful instructors.
Finally, I am very proud to tell you that CIM has two students traveling to Sligo, Ireland to compete in the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil next weekend, August 14-16. Please join me in wishing Adrienne O'Shea and Moira Flagstad all the very best on their trip and competitions.

CIM offers instrumental and singing classes for children, youth, and adults taught by world-class teachers - both privately
and in a group setting. Fall term begins Tuesday, September 8th and is 17 weeks long.
You can register here for group classes. For private lessons, please contact our administrative assistant,
Chelsea. Many of our instructors have full schedules, so we recommend reserving a lesson time as soon as possible.

We will provide drinks - please bring a baked item to share! We encourage newcomers and returning students to join us.
