Artist Marty Ochs and CIM Executive Director Norah Rendell have created this artful coloring book for you! Bring these images to life with your own imagination and artistry, and learn more about 16 of the most commonly-played instruments in traditional Irish music. Great care has been taken to make the details of the illustrations realistic: numbers of keys, buttons, strings, tuning pegs, finger holes and more.
Thank you for supporting the Center for Irish Music with the purchase of this coloring book!
Coloring books are available for purchase in the CIM office or at Irish on Grand for $10.00.

Happy Spring, CIM supporters!
We have been enjoying a slightly quieter month so far with Saint Patrick's Day behind us followed by a welcome spring term lull. We are catching up while preparing for the Minnesota Irish Music Weekend and a summer term full of fantastic Irish music programming.
Here are a few important announcements for you this April Thursday morning...
1 - Thank you to all who helped with St. Patrick's Day performances and booth volunteers! Browse a few photos from that weekend, below.
2 - CIM is hiring a part-time administrative assistant to add to our existing administrative team. Please share the job posting with anyone you think might be a great addition. We are accepting applications until Friday, April 10th. Some of you may be aware that our wonderful office manager, Erika Nelson, is expecting in June. IMDA EDUCATIONAL GRANT OPPORTUNITY
The Irish Music & Dance Association of the Twin Cities offers educational grants to help students of any age to pursue an interest in the traditional arts of Ireland. Grants may be used for classes, fees, travel expenses, equipment purchases or other purpose which supports the applicant's learning. The IMDA's goal is to help students who love Irish music or dance to continue their study, move to the next level of mastery and share their interests with others. They ask grant recipients to bring their new skills back to the community by performing at an IMDA event. They hope that recipients of IMDA Educational Grants will continue their study long into the future and, in so doing, enhance the cultural life of our community. The Irish Music and
Dance Association considers the program an investment in the future.
Since its start in 2006, the program has made grants to musicians, dancers and students of the Irish (Gaelic) language. The recipients have used their grants for travel expenses, to help with the purchase an instrument, and for classes. The options are as broad as the ideas of the applicants.
For more information and to download a grant application, please visit the IMDA's website.
Applications are due by April 27th, 2015
