Dear CIM supporters,

The CIM is a thriving part of the Twin Cities community because of the generous support of our members, volunteers, and donors.  The amazing growth that CIM has experienced since its creation in 2004 would not have been possible without your active engagement.  Thank you!

"My advice is to run, not walk, to your computer and sign up for a class at CIM. Three years ago I signed up for Dáithí Sproule's song class and a whole new world of Irish music, song, history and lore opened up to me. I stand in awe of the extraordinary gift CIM is to the community!"

- Barbara Edstrom, student and grandparent of two CIM students

To build momentum for Give to the Max Day, we have been posting a video series featuring some of our younger students.  If you haven't had a chance to watch one of these touching videos, you can watch them all on our YouTube channel or Facebook page (which is visible from home page of the CIM website).  Thanks to Tom Sweeney for filming and editing the videos.

We would like to thank the 2014 Challenge Fund donors!

Together, 2 Gingers Whiskey, Marty and Neesa Neumann of Keegan's Irish Pub, Irish On Grand, and the Friends of CIM have pledged $5000 for the CIM.   Join these leading community members today and help CIM to reach, even exceed, our $10,000.00 goal!

Please consider supporting the Center for Irish Music's Annual Fund this year on Give to the Max Day.

Thank you for your support!  We look forward to spending the next ten years with you.

CIM Gatherings at Local Sessions
CIM community members gather at Keegan's

We have held impromptu CIM gatherings at local sessions over the years.  This fall, Emily and Norah  thought it would be fun to send an open the invitation to all of our students and supporters to join us on specific dates.  These gatherings are a way to build our community while encouraging participation in or learning from the Twin Cities' wonderful local sessions.

These gatherings are a great opportunity to get to know other active members of the Irish community while deepening friendships with your fellow CIM students, instructors and local Irish musicians.  We hope to see you soon!

Of course, you can enjoy the local sessions any week.  Information about local sessions is on the local sessions page of the CIM website, under  the music resources tab.

Upcoming Gatherings:

Sunday, November 16th -- 6pm at Keegan's Pub
Sunday, December 14th -- Noon at Kieran's Pub
