Dear CIM community,
Greetings from the Center for Irish Music! This week, the office is buzzing as we prepare for the start of the CIM's tenth year of lessons and classes. The start of Fall term is only four days away! Registration is still open, however we have already had to cancel one or two classes with low enrolment. If you are intending to attend a class next week, please check our online class listings and register today!
We'd like to extend a special welcome our new students, many of whom we met at the Open House and 10-year Anniversary Party on August 24th. We'd also like to send our gratitude out to the instructors and volunteers who set up, cleaned up, offered class demonstrations and made the Open House the busiest (and most fun) the CIM has had so far! Great tunes, great craic and many new faces. It is very exciting to see the local interest in traditional Irish music growing.
We have a great year ahead of us, filled with Irish music and all of the good things that come along with it. See you next week!
-Erika Nelson, Office Manager, and
-Emily Flagstad, CIM Assistant Director

Thank you for helping us kick off our 10th anniversary year at CIM!
| We were delighted that so many of you were able to join us on Sunday, August 24th for our very special open house and 10th anniversary party! It was a memorable and musical afternoon of meeting prospective students, enjoying instrument and class demonstrations from our instructors, recognizing and celebrating all of our community members who have been so instrumental in assuring CIM's survival over the years, and rejoicing to the sounds of an informal session. And, of course, we had a celebratory cake, too! For more pics from our open house, please check out the album on our Facebook page.
