As we look forward to planning the CIM's 10th anniversary term this fall, we are checking in with our students and families about their experience at the school.

Our goal is to gather feedback from our students, both past and current, about CIM programming and learn more about how CIM communicates with its constituents.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete this anonymous survey.

Your feedback will help us continue to offer high quality traditional Irish music programs and events for many years to come.

Go raibh míle maith agat.

CIM's birthday party will be on Sunday, August 24th at 4pm at the Celtic Junction

May was an exciting and eventful month for CIM as twenty four students and three instructors travelled to Saint Louis to compete at the Midwest Fleadh Cheoil. Our students were very successful, placing in the top three in over 30 competitions in solo, duet and group categories!  Of the many students who qualified, five will travel to Sligo, Ireland from August 11-17th to participate in the Scoil Éigse (week-long workshop) and the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.

We send a hearty congratulations to all our students!  The instructors and I are so proud of the progress each of you has made with your music this year.

Speaking of music, we were treated to a fantastic concert of traditional music on Saturday, May 31st featuring the Advanced Youth Ensemble and other young musicians who play in ensembles and/or travelled to the fleadh.  Thanks to your support, we raised over $1000 for the Travel Fund!

I look forward to seeing you this summer whether it be at the Junction, at MIM, at the Irish Fair, at CIM's 10-year anniversary party on August 24 or elsewere.  Have a wonderful summer!

With YOUR HELP, we will be a part of the Hamline-Midway Get Together for the Green Line Launch!
We are so excited to be a part of this historic neighborhood celebration!  The Center for Irish Music will have an information booth at the celebration for the official launch party of the Green Line.  The celebration will be held in the Target parking lot south of Unversity Avenue, right near the Hamline Station.  That will be a busy day due to our simultaneous commitments at the Minnesota Irish Music Weekend, so we are encouraging any of our community members who are not attending MIM to volunteer.  This is the perfect opportunity to share your enthusiasm for MIM with our fellow Hamline-Midway neighbors!

To sign up to volunteer, please click here.

An Impressive Number of CIM Students Qualified to Compete at the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in August!
The Midwest Fleadh Cheoil (pronounced 'flah') is the regional traditional Irish music competition put on annually by the international Irish music organization called Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.  This year 24 students from CIM traveled by bus to St. Louis, Missouri to compete in the fleadh.

Here are a few photos from our weekend in St. Louis.  Thank you for all of your support!
