Additional ways you can support CIM:
- MAKE A DONATION TO THE SILENT AUCTION: Donations have been coming in slowly, so we could use your help! Donate your time to make dinner for a crowd, create some cute hand-crafted items, or donate that seldom-used unique Celtic-themed item. Information and donation forms can be found HERE. If you have questions, please contact Emily.
MAKE A DONATION TO OUR 2 GINGERS WOW RAFFLE: All guests at the event who purchase a raffle ticket will have 3 chances to win a Wall of Wine, Wall of Whiskey, or a Wall of Winter ale. Bottles can be dropped off to the CIM office or in the box right outside of the office. Please fill out a donation form as well.
- DONATE YOUR TIME AS A VOLUNTEER: We are still in need of several volunteers to make this evening a success. All volunteers receive free entry, dinner, and appropriate training. To volunteer, please fill out our volunteer form here.

Éigse [eg-shuh] is an Irish word used for festivals celebrating traditional Irish arts and culture. It is in this spirit that we gather for an evening to raise funds for The Center for Irish Music and the mission of handing down traditional Irish music.
BEGINNING THIS WEEKEND AT CIM: Paddy O'Brien Tune Collection/Apprenticeship Project
Accordionist and tune collector Paddy O'Brien (originally from Co. Offaly) recently received a Folk and Traditional Arts grant from the MN State Arts Board to record another 500 melodies for The Paddy O'Brien Tune Collection. As part of the project, Paddy will be acting Artist-in-Residence at the Center for Irish Music offering free workshops on Sunday afternoons to interested CIM students and teachers of all melody instruments.
A full description of the project and details are on the Student Info tab at the CIM website.
Please note that participants must be current CIM students and able to attend at least seven out of the nine sessions to take advantage of this amazing opportunity! Recording devices are mandatory.
Every 2nd & 4th Sunday from 2:30-4pm, February 10-June 9.
Paddy O'Brien is a fiscal year 2012 recipient of a Folk and Traditional grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is funded, in part, by the arts and cultural heritage fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the Legacy Amendment vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
