Igniting the Spirit at the Erin Fall Fair

The spirit of the Pan/Para Pan Am Games will be ignited through the spirit of the horse at the 164th Annual Erin Fall Fair. The Pan Am Ignite Program has partnered with the Breeds Exhibit in the Equine Tent to connect the public with live horses and introduce a variety of equine breeds over the course of the Erin Fair on Thanksgiving Weekend. Horses represent our agricultural heritage and the mobilization of civilizations around the world. They are revered in many cultures and bring joy, physical and mental well being, exercise and interaction to horse enthusiasts of all ages.

Being with and around horses, even at the most basic level, promotes physical and mental well-being. Across Ontario, horses are increasingly being recognized for their contribution to the development of Canadian sport & competition, therapeutic riding and recreational or pleasure riding. The popular appeal of the horse (think War Horse) reflects an appreciation of this animal as cultural icon. Ignite your spirit for the 2015 Pan/Para Am Games by visiting the Equine Breeds Exhibit at the 2014 Erin Fall Fair, October 11th - 13th.
