An exciting time in Headwaters Horse Country!

 

As we near the end of the 2014 show season, Headwaters Horse Country is hosting a weekend of signature events in celebration of the equine industry in the Headwaters.  The weekend will include the 2nd Annual Evening of Celebration and the 7th Annual Stable Tour

 

With over 23,000 horses, over 2,000 horse farms, hundreds of businesses that support horses and their owners and four internationally recognized event facilities, there is no doubt that the equine sector is vital to our region.

 

Join us as we celebrate the past year and look forward with anticipation to 2015. As we prepare to welcome the world to Headwaters region for the equestrian events of the TO2015 Pan Am Games, we proudly proclaim Headwaters as Horse Country!

An evening to celebrate all things Horse Country!

 

Doors open at 6pm for local food and beverages, forging demonstrations and networking with colleagues, neighbours and friends.  You will also be inspired by the artwork of our Horse Country art contest finalists and be there for the announcement of the winners!

At 7:30pm the show begins, including HorsePower Live Set to original music, HorsePower Live features equestrian entertainment at its most dazzling. The pageantry, passion, and precision of horses is showcased as they perform spectacular feats, including trick riding, creative barrel racing, prancing, pole-bending, galloping musical chairs, and games galore!

The HorsePower Live trick riders recently performed at the CNE and their next stop will be the Toronto Royal Fair.  Come see what all the buzz is about!

Join us for this fabulous evening of equine and community celebration in Headwaters. What a perfect way to end the 2014 show season and continue to focus on 2015, the all-important year of the TO2015 Pan Am Games!

Facilities from Caledon, Dufferin County, Erin and King will open their doors to the public! 

 
From breeding farms, coaching and training facilities to riding schools, boarding stables and ranches, visitors will experience the gamut of equine activity with a rare "behind the scenes" perspective.

  

This year's Tour will be held over two days.  Plan your route from the list of tour locations and enjoy a wonderful weekend exploring Horse Country!

Horse Country Events

 

Though we are nearing the end of the 2014 show season, we still have some major equine events on the calendar.  The Canadian Show Jumping Tournament at the Caledon Equestrian Park is September 24-28 and The International CSI-W at Angelstone Tournaments is October 1-5.
