Can-Am
Can-Am All Breeds Equine Expo

What better way to experience "The Year of the Horse" in the Hills of the Headwaters region than by attending Canada's premiere equine extravaganza, Can-Am Equine Expo?

Running three days -
March 28, 29, and 30, at the OAS Event Centre - this huge annual event both enlightens and entertains its visitors with an astonishing range of talent, shows, and shopping opportunities. The celebrated Australian horseman, Guy McLean, hosts a series of engaging talks daily in the Home Hardware Main Arena and headlines Can-Am's new Evening Extravaganza. Other presenters include Russell Guire and Terry Myers, while a full slate of renowned clinicians will provide insightful practical tips on everything from equine dentistry to saddle fitting, nutrition, and communications.Heartland actress Amber Marshall will also be on hand on Youth Day (Sunday, March 30) to speak with fans in an hour-long Question-and-Answer session.

SnowFest

SnowFest 2014

SnowFest 2014 returns for Family Day with a full slate of winter activities including returning favourites plus new features which will keep visitors of all ages engaged from the moment their boots, skates or snowshoes hit the snow at the Caledon Fairgrounds.

Dedicated to winter fun, exercise and friendly competition, SnowFest activities include snow shoeing, dog sled and horse drawn sleigh rides, a hockey match and public outdoor skating, a kid's snow castle competition, a special "Chilly Cook-Off" and the centerpiece FireFighters Challenge. New for 2014 is the visitor engaging "Angel Mania" and the first ever Ambassador Challenge involving Junior and Senior Fair Ambassadors from across the region in a timed obstacle race which tests speed and agility... plus prowess and ingenuity.

Headwaters - A Taste of Maple

Hills of Headwaters Tourism Association is thrilled to announce a new event launching this spring. A Taste of Maple will take place from March 28, 2014 - April 13, 2014 at locations across the Headwaters region and will provide an opportunity to discover and taste wonderful sweets, sinful savouries and tasty treats all made from Headwaters' maple syrup.

This is an equine art competition. The art submitted must be representative of Headwaters Horse Country. However, horses are not a required element in the design.
