The Headwaters Equine Leadership Group wishes you a happy and prosperous 2014!

As part of Headwaters Horse Country, we all have many reasons to be proud of our accomplishments in 2013 and to look forward with enthusiasm to next year. Thank you for being part of it and for helping to make the past year so memorable. We invite you to join us in anticipating what we will accomplish together in the year to come.

This year the Headwaters Equine Leadership Group has two New Year's resolutions for everyone to keep.

  1. Get out and enjoy the majesty of Horse Country in all seasons.
For inspiration, check out the Equine Events and Happenings section of our site.
  2. Become an ambassador for Horse Country.
Whether you volunteer your time, submit your events to the Horse Country calendar or share your experiences with others, there are plenty of ways you can help make Headwaters Horse Country a centre of equine excellence.

How Strong is your Horse Vocabulary? Horse-Vocabulary

Test your knowledge of horse terminology by taking this quiz from about.com!

"Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire. It is a grand passion. It seizes a person whole and once it has done so, they will have to accept that his life will be radically changed."
