March 8, 2014 - Taste of the Arts Workshops 

 

 

Art Thou Hungry? "Taste of Art" Workshops Returning To Cambridge in March - Stir up your creativity! 

 

Try your hand at a variety of mediums, meet area artists and take home a one-of-a-kind piece.

 

The Cambridge Arts Council has announced a series of workshops led by area artists on Saturday, March 8th, 21st and 22nd, 2014 in conjunction with National Arts Month.  This second annual series will feature a tantalizing menu of workshops including: glass blowing, hot press painting, ladder weave & wire wrap jewelry, felted vessels, Giclee printing techniques, basket weaving, silk scarf painting and gourd carving. 

 

New this year, is an "Wine & Art Night" on Friday, March 21st Laugh...Sip.. and Paint with friends.

March 8, 2014 - Don't Hug Me... 

 

A musical comedy that takes place in a rustic north woods bar in tiny Bunyan Bay, Minnesota. The owners are ready to sell the business and relocate to sunny Florida, so in walks in a fast talking salesmen who promises a quick sell through the 'magic' of karaoke and ...WELL, You just gotta see it!

 

Takes place in a colorful, rustic northwoods bar in tiny Bunyan Bay, Minnesota.  It's the coldest, most bone-chilling day of the year and cantankerous bar owner Gunner Johnson is ready to sell the business and move to sunny Florida.  Clara, his wife and former Winter Carnival Bunyan Queen, is perfectly content staying right where she is.  Bernice Lundstrom, the pretty waitress, wants to pursue a singing career.  Her fiance, Kanute Gunderson, wants her to stay home.  

 

It's a battle of wills that tests their relationships and when a fast-talking salesman, Aarvid Gisselsen, promises to bring romance into their lives through the "magic" of karaoke, all heck breaks loose!

Laugh...Sip...Paint...The Cambridge Art Council presents a Wine & Art Night!  

 

Are you looking to have some fun painting? Or, maybe you've always wanted to learn how to paint. Either way, this night out is truly for beginners. Local multi-media artist, Kristin Stockwell, will lead you step-by-step to create a wonderful work of art,  for you to take home. Bring a friend and a sense of humor for a fun evening in support of the Cambridge Arts Council. Create in the cozy atmosphere of CamRock Cafe & Sport, 217 W. Main St., Cambridge.
