"Click here to see the many uses for a multi-purpose Bondi cell phone hanger (Take it from me...hanging it from your collar works much better than hanging it from your tail)."

September Decorating Tip
~Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!~

It's easy to welcome the new season into your home without a major (and expensive) overhaul.  Add a touch of autumn by complementing your current decor with seasonal silk arrangements from The Village Shoppes.

By simply interchanging an accessory or two in your home's decor, you can transition from one season to the next with ease.

The item(s) you choose to substitute each season can be small and modest, but the overall affect will be substantial and striking.

Bring the rich, vibrant colors of fall into your home with just one fun and easy step, , a shopping trip to The Village Shoppes!

Fun-N-Games with Bella!

This month we're doing something a little different...something we hope you think is fun...an adult coloring contest!!
We've sent you an accompanying
e-mail featuring a design out of one of our
Posh coloring books.

Just print out the design, use your imagination and artistic talents to color it, and bring your completed project to The Village Shoppes no later than Saturday, September 12. The staff at The Village Shoppes will vote to decide which masterpiece they find most appealing and award the artist a $20 gift certificate as well as a FREE Posh coloring book!

The winner will be contacted on
Monday, September 14!

Bella Says...

"Perhaps purchasing a set of our colored pencils would be a wise investment at this time!"

*Sorry, if you've been a contest winner within the last 90 days,
you're not eligible to participate in this contest.

Bella's Tail End
An Infallible Guide to Predicting Winter Weather
~Part 2~

As promised in last month's newsletter, here are a few fool-proof methods of determining the length and severity of the upcoming winter season, !

Obtain the breastbone of a recently deceased goose.  The length of the breastbone indicates how long the ensuing winter will be and the color of the breastbone indicates the season's severity.  A plain white breastbone indicates a mild winter is approaching while a mottled breastbone means we're in store for a severe one; the more mottled the breastbone, the more severe the winter season will be.

If you are unable to obtain a goose's breastbone in order to predict winter's severity, don't worry! We have more tried and true methods for you to use!

For instance, the deeper a squirrel buries its store of nuts in the ground, the colder winter will be.

In addition,  when rabbits make a habit of taking shelter in a brush pile, a severe winter is guaranteed!

If none of these methods are doable, then simply observe the moss growing on a nearby tree.  If there is an abundance of moss on the south side of the tree, then prepare yourself for a harsh winter.

Now there's no reason for you to be surprised or unprepared by the winter weather.
You can thank me later.
