Are you clearing space in your bookshelves? Consider donating to the Pierce Book Fair - it's not until the spring, but we can collect donations at any point throughout the year. SOLUTION TO POW #10: 100TH DAY OF POTATO CHALLENGE!

Multiple combinations of 2-lb and 5-lb bags can total 100 lbs of potatoes. For example, five 2-lb bags plus eighteen 5-lb bags equal 100 lbs; so do ten 2-lb bags plus sixteen 5-lb bags. See the Problem of the Week bulletin board for a variety of solutions.

MATHLETES PROBLEM OF THE WEEK #8: 

Due Tues., 2/24. Our new Mathletes POW celebrates the upcoming 100th day of school! Look for it on the Mathletes bulletin board near the first floor entrance to the library! Copies of the problem will be available in the rack in the front lobby and on the pierce website. Please put your solutions in the green box by the Mathletes bulletin board. Have fun doing the Math!
