GROWING PAINS: NEW PROCEDURE FOR OUTSIDE PICK-UP AT DISMISSAL

During outside pick-up time after dismissal, those picking up students in the circle in front of the Historical Building must remain with their cars. The school buses picking up students between 2:30 and 2:50pm must have a clear road in the circle.

Cars waiting for students are asked to park in a legal parking space in front of the Historical Building, or to wait in the Town Hall parking lot. Please arrange with your child to meet them away from the circle. Please shut off car engines while you wait (to help our environment and to prevent accidents).

The circle at dismissal is full of waiting students who will often run into the area to get into cars; there are just too many students and cars in this small area. We need your help to change the present congested condition. More staff are being assigned to the area to help monitor students and to remind parents of the pick up procedures.

Thank you for your help!

MONTHLY PTO SPENDING REPORT

What is the PTO spending money on this month? PTO funds go toward a wide variety of community-building activities, and a small amount of money goes far to welcome both new and returning children and families. This month, community-building included support for the annual kindergarten picnic in August, and family/teacher welcome back coffees on the first two days of school. With the start of classes, the PTO also gave $20,000 to teachers and specialists to cover a portion of the materials they purchase for use with our children this year. Thank you to all of our wonderful teachers and specialists for their hard work and the additional investments they make in our children's education!
