PTO DOLLARS AT WORK IN APRIL
Wow! Last month, PTO dollars supported The ArtCouncil's RhythmKids staff, who worked with 2nd Graders on an interactive percussion workshop... covered transportation costs for the five Kindergarten classes to visit the NE Aquarium... funded stipends for the wonderful directors (Amy Driscoll & Paula Brackett) of the Sixth Grade play, The Spirit of India!... and underwrote speaking fees for author Michelle Icard who visited Pierce to discuss her recent book, Middle School Makeover. Behind the scenes, PTO dollars supported Phyllis Bradley's work in the copy room and supply closet so that teachers spend more prep time on lessons - and less time trying to unjam a balky photocopier.
