January 2014

Now that the new year is in full swing, there seems to be a buzz among more and more companies wanting to use video. Yet sometimes it's not clear how best to tell the story of your business or organization. You want to make sure you include everything, and sometimes that means feeling like you need to include everyone.

This summer I had the chance to show one organization how just focusing on one or two stories is often much more effective than featuring several. The JCC of Greater Washington has a phenomenal summer camp, in part because 1 in 5 campers have special needs. Even though it costs twice as much to have them in camp, they pay no extra money. All additional money is obtained through fundraising.

And that's where a video can be imperative.

This year, we told the stories of just two campers. The results were amazing. (See for yourself in the above short clip).

Want to learn how to use this incredibly effective concept for your videos? Read today's article for some great resources and learn more about the concept referred to as "The Dog on a Tanker Story."

Not sure which stories to tell? Give us a call - we always love to brainstorm!

Sincerely,

  Debbie
