I'm borrowing the adage "Your grandmother never says 'no comment'" from the incomparable Steve Roberts (aka "Mr. Cokie Roberts"), whom I had the pleasure of hearing speak at our national APH conference last week.
His saying speaks to the truth that more often than not, our families really do want to tell their stories. In this month's article, I'm sharing the wisdom I gained from listening to Roberts' experiences with his own personal history journey.
Before you embark on your annual Thanksgiving tradition, I wanted to share "My Grandmother's Ravioli." Well, not actually MY grandmother's ravioli (she was more of a mandel bread kind of gal), but the new show from The Cooking Channel that shows you how filming in the kitchen can produce more than just a great meal.
But you don't have to be a Cooking Channel star to capture the important snippets and memories of your family on video. Stuck on what to get for your parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts or uncles this holiday season? Consider giving your family members the gift of their own family history - on video. I'd love to collaborate with your family to create the memory of a lifetime.
Wherever your tradition may take you, I hope you have a wonderful and memorable Thanksgiving!
Warmly,

Debbie Brodsky
